Discovering Your Life Message, Part 1
If you can give only one message to the world, what would it be?
I believe that every person in the world is a messenger, and every person has a message from God to share to the rest of the world. Releasing that message, whether through speaking, or action, is a huge part of each person’s purpose here on earth. It is not about being a full time minister or in professional clergy. It is not about whether you have received “proper training” or equipping, or having graduated from Bible school or seminary. It is not about miring in false-humility, saying that I don’t have a message to share. You do have a message, and it doesn’t matter whether you have been educated or not!
It does not depend on your skill or talent level. Your message will flow out of you like a mighty river, which you cannot dam up. Your message will ooze from the core of your being. It is your spiritual DNA to release your message to the world. It is the most natural, enjoyable work for you to do! It is your special assignment, given to you by God Almighty.
However, it is entirely possible that you can release the wrong message. You can release a false message, a fake message that the enemy deceives you into releasing. You can release a counterfeit message without even knowing it.
The first step for every person, to fulfilling that purpose, of releasing that true message, is to receive salvation in Jesus Christ. If you are not born again into a new creation in Christ (John 3:3, 2 Cor 5:17), then you will only release a distorted, inaccurate message that glorifies self instead of God, that glorifies sin instead of purity, that glorifies evil instead of good.
So, after you are saved in Christ Jesus, a major part of your life message is your testimony (Rev 12:11). But your life message is not only your testimony, what God did for you. Your life message is also about revealing an aspect of the nature of God to the world, showing the world an attribute of God that has the power to transform lives!
Your life message may be sharing with the world about the love of God, the mercy of God, the goodness of God, the faithfulness of God, the righteous judgment of God, the justice of God, the wisdom of God, the glory of God, the humility of God, the grace of God, the kindness of God, etc. etc. More than one person can have the same life message, but no one will preach that message in the same way, in the same manner that you do.
Your life message may be about healing. It may be proclaiming the truth that God heals. It may be about declaring that God also heals the heart. It may be shouting out that our God is the God of miracles.
Your life message may be about faith and patience and endurance, persevering to the very end. Your life message may be about standing and strengthening oneself in the Lord, overcoming the evil one (Eph 6:13, 1 Sam 30:6, 1 John 2:14).
Your life message may be about the provision of God, the blessings of God. It may be about the God who provides. It may be about the God of the breakthrough. It may be about the God who delivers. It may be about the God who takes care of the widows and orphans. Your life message may about about the beauty and majesty of our God.
So, how do you find out what your life message is? I will discuss this in Part 2.
Blessings!
